Allison Jones, soprano

Soprano Allison Jones is a vocal performance major at the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music. She has participated in NATS competitions every year since 2017 and has won the Greater Houston NATS competition for classical voice and placed 2nd in Texoma NATS in 2020. Jones has performed in a variety of operas at Moores, including a recent highlight, singing the role of Geraldine in Barber’s A Hand of Bridge. Her stage experience also includes covering the roles of Giannetta in L’elisir d’amore (Westminster College), and Yum-Yum/Leonora Braham in A Topsy-Turvy Mikado (The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Houston). This summer, she looks forward to performing the roles of Violetta in La Traviata with Spotlight on Opera, and the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute with the William Lewis School of Opera.
