Full Biography: Soprano Erica Jackson regularly appears in recital, choral, and operatic performances across the Raleigh, North Carolina area. A native of Kansas City, she has a Bachelor of Science in Music degree from William Jewell College and a Master of Music degree from the University of Missouri–Columbia. In 2021 she was featured in an episode of North Carolina Opera’s Opera About Town Online. Her most recent stage appearances were at Miami Classical Music Festival, performing Eliza in Nico Muhly’s Dark Sisters in June 2019 and Ghost #1 in The Ghosts of Versailles in July 2018, when she covered Marie Antoinette and performed scenes from Così fan tutte and Alcina. She has been featured as the soprano soloist for the Gloria movement of Beethoven's Missa Solemnis with North Carolina Master Chorale and Messiah Part 1 with Concert Singers of Cary. Previous opera roles include Olivia in North Carolina Opera’s production of Cold Mountain, Clorinda in La Cenerentola, Chocholka in The Cunning Little Vixen, and Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi. Erica has been a member of North Carolina Opera chorus since 2015 and has been involved in productions of Madama Butterfly, Eugene Onegin, The Marriage of Figaro, The Pearl Fishers, Samson and Delilah, Norma, Carmen, Tosca, and Pagliacci.
