Frannie Barrows, soprano

Frannie Barrows, soprano, received her MM and BM in Vocal Performance from the University of Arizona under the tutelage of Dr. Kristin Dauphinais. At the University of Arizona Frannie sang the roles of Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Sybil (North American premiere of Rhondda Rips it Up!), Noémie (Cendrillon), Beatriz, cover and Flower (La Hija di Rappaccini), and Cupid (Orpheus in the Underworld). In 2019 Frannie performed as Die Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte with Lyric Opera Studio Weimar in Weimar, Germany. In 2018 she sang with Chicago Summer Opera Theater as Third Knitter in A Game of Chance and in Die Zauberflöte as Erste Knabe and Die Königin der Nacht, cover. In 2017 Frannie trained in Salzburg, Austria at the University of Miami Frost School of Music in Salzburg program. In scenes programs Frannie has sung in scenes from operas such as Der Schuaspieldirektor (Mme. Herz), Susannah (Susannah), La Boheme (Mimi), Faust (Marguerite), and Cosí fan Tutte (Fiordiligi).
