Carlee Abschneider
Soprano
Carlee Abschneider is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Vocal Performance at Texas A&M University-Commerce while she serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and is a student of Dr. Jennifer Glidden. Carlee appeared as Hannah in TAMUC Opera Ensemble’s production of The Path to Heaven. Carlee was previously featured with TAMUC Opera Ensemble in the scenes show, “Obsessions”, as Lola in Gallantry and Geraldine in A Hand of Bridge.
Carlee holds a BM in Vocal Performance from Houston Baptist University. While at HBU, she was a finalist in HBU’s Inaugural Concerto/Aria Contest in 2018 and received the “Most Improved Vocalist” Award for 2017-2018. She has also been both a finalist and winner at the Greater Houston NATS competition several times.
Carlee recently attended Varna International Music Academy where she performed the roles of La Ciesca in Gianni Schicci and Mistress of Novices in Suor Angelica. She is also an alum of Resonance Opera Young Artist Program in Brenham, TX. Carlee’s most recent accomplishment was winning the vocal division of the New Texas Symphony Orchestra’s Community Concerto & Aria Competition for 2019.
