Brianna Perez

Soprano

Brianna Perez originally hails from Miami Beach, Florida. She is currently a First-Year Masters student in Opera at The University of Kansas, where she is studying under mezzo-soprano Joyce Castle. She was most recently seen in Landlocked Opera's production of Die Zauberflöte where she sang First Lady and KU Opera's production of Vaughn-Williams' Riders to the Sea. She is a returning young artist of Spotlight on Opera and last summer sang the role of Barcarolle the Dog in the outreach production of The Bremen Town Musicians. She also sang scenes as Countess Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro and Soeur Antoine in Dialouges des Carmélites. Other roles she has sung include the title role in Floyd's Susannah, Dorabella in Così fan tutte, the title role in Offenbach's La Périchole and The Mother in Menotti's Amahl and The Night Visitors.
